Shabbat Across the RFV

Shabbat Across the RFV:

One Valley, Many Tables

Help us fill homes from Aspen to Glenwood Springs with Shabbat warmth, good food, and real conversation by hosting a Shabbat dinner any Friday between January 16 and March 27.

These gatherings are designed to complement—not replace—our communal Shabbat services. For those who regularly attend services, we encourage extending Shabbat by sharing a meal together afterward. And for those for whom attending services isn’t always convenient—because of distance, young children, or busy schedules—these dinners offer a meaningful way to observe Shabbat with friends, family, and community.

You don’t have to be a Shabbat pro to host. You provide the table and a meal; AJC provides the rest – candles, grape juice or wine, challah, easy-to-follow blessings, and prompts to spark meaningful conversation.

Invite your own guests, ask AJC to match you with others, or choose a mix of both—whatever makes your table feel right. Unable to host? Sign up to be a guest instead.

Our goal is 36 Shabbat dinners. Make yours one of them!
