We offer small-group learning opportunities, Friday evening Torah study, and adult B’nai Mitzvah and conversation classes. We also host events, like our Aspen Jewish Conversations speaker series, designed to spark bold thinking about the future of Jewish life and encourage dialogue across difference.

Israel was once a yearning of Jewish imagination — today, a real state. How do we support Israel from afar: marinate in the dream, or face statecraft’s hard truths? Voice our critiques, or hold them close? Over five weeks, our small group will discuss, argue, reflect, cry, and laugh through these questions.

We don’t like to talk about death, the one sure thing in our lives. This three-week workshop explores Jewish approaches to illness, dying, and death — bioethics, mourning rituals, ethical wills, Five Wishes, and more. Short reading/writing precedes each session.

Open Door Judaism is a journey into Jewish life for those born Jewish wanting to learn more, non-Jewish partners curious about family traditions, and anyone considering conversion. Rabbi Shira and other RFV rabbis guide us through Jewish holidays, texts, and values, with rituals to practice and courageous conversations along the way.

Interested in Jewish learning and/or celebrating your Bar or Bat Mitzvah? Join this weekly class exploring the “hows and whys” of Shabbat prayers and Torah portions — wherever you live. Our celebration will be on June 5, 2027. Participate however you choose. First or second B’nai Mitzvah, all are welcome.
Class members must take or test out of “Intro to Hebrew Reading” prior to joining the class. That class is now full — email Rabbi Sima as soon as possible.

Our speaker series brings nationally renowned Jewish thinkers to Aspen to help spark bold thinking about the future of Jewish life. Through stimulating, inspiring, and challenging sessions, we explored pressing questions of identity, peoplehood, spirituality, and leadership, while engaging in deep and meaningful Jewish reflection.
