Repairing the World, Together

Our Social Action Committee seeks to provide resources and support for those in need and to create opportunities for our congregants to participate in Tikkun Olam, the repairing of the world.

"For there will never cease to be needy ones in your land, which is why I command you: Open your hand to the poor and needy kin in your land." - Deuteronomy 15:11

Our social action focuses primarily on addressing local needs through opportunities including:

Weekly volunteer service to help Harvest for Hunger rescue surplus food and stock a stigma-free, self-service food pantry, ensuring that everyone in our community has access to healthy and nourishing food.

Partnering with organizations like Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers to maintain our area’s trails and natural areas, and Habitat for Humanity to help build affordable housing.
